About Me

Accredited coach and attuned project director with 35+ years’ experience of delivering successfully for my clients.

I’m Andy and I have 35+ years experience in the construction industry as a senior manager and project director for some of the biggest contractors in the UK, and on some of the country’s highest profile infrastructure projects. I have an excellent appreciation of business realities and the associated leadership and organisational challenges along with a reputation for building and nurturing high performing, multi-disciplined teams within a supportive and collaborative approach. I have an Executive MBA and am also accredited to Practitioner Level by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

I am a father of four and husband to my amazing wife, Jane. I enjoy sport, socialising with friends and being in the great outdoors as a space for clearing my mind, seeing things through a different lens and appreciating who we are and what we have at our disposal.

Ellav8 was born from the legacy of my daughter Ella and the difficulties she faced, living with a life limiting condition (Holoprosencephaly) for 22 years until she passed away suddenly in 2018. Ella overcame many challenges, always with a smile, she brought joy and happiness to everyone she met. Despite her condition Ella had a rare ability to connect with people on a human level and, even though she needed huge support throughout her life, what she gave back affected everyone she touched.

We all face challenges of different kinds and, drawing on my experiences and values as a career professional, father, husband and just me, I want Ellav8 to provide that same human touch through supportive, empathetic and goal-focused coaching for clients who seek to progress, achieve more, and be themselves within their unique personal and professional environment.

If I can help one person overcome their fears or barriers by giving them the tools to succeed in something they didn’t think possible, then I will have fulfilled Ella’s legacy and the purpose behind Ellav8.

About My Coaching

Professional and effective coaching that is built around client goals

Through EllaV8, I offer Coaching and Mentoring that is professionally accredited and fully compliant with the (EMCC) code of ethics. I offer complete confidentiality and fully honour the integrity of the Coach-Coachee ‘contract’ agreement.

I provide one to one Coaching, either in person or online, through a programme of progressive sessions that are flexible, adaptable, and aligned with each client’s objectives. I regularly check in and request feedback to ensure clients are getting what they need, in a format that suits, so that they emerge with the necessary insights, tools and motivation to achieve their goals.

I offer a collaborative Coaching style along with a caring attitude, driven by strong values and a desire to support others. This means bringing empathy and understanding through a human-centred appreciation of people that comes from my own work/life experiences and upbringing. I use humour to build rapport and put my clients at ease in what can be an unfamiliar coaching environment so that, while all my clients can be assured of an effective and professional service, everyone is treated as an individual facing their own unique challenges.
